Summer arrived today in my garden. The cold north wind finally turned and there was just a gentle breeze from the south. The geraniums came out of their temporary indoor nursery and were re-potted into large terracotta pots outside.
The sky was
azure blue with not a cloud in sight. Two ring-necked doves were cooing to each
other and the scent from the wisteria filled the air. Butterflies and bees hovered around the
blooms. I stretched out on my sun
lounger and thought how wonderful everything was. The sun got hotter so I opened my sunshade
umbrella.
Those bloody mice!
Nothing is perfect. Your house is so beautiful, and what i can see from the garden too.
ReplyDeleteThank you Yael. Most of the time it's close to perfect but there's always a little bit of trouble in paradise.
DeleteThat hole looks a bit like a mole! If you squint a bit.
ReplyDeleteIt does now you come to mention it!
DeleteThat's peanuts, one winter they got inside our pool's electrical control box. It would have served them right if they'd been electrocuted; or at least died from plastic poisoning!
ReplyDeleteThey're cute little critters but can be so destructive, particularly with wiring.
DeleteThe after picture of the house is great.
