Rainy Day

Can you help me fold this sheet?
Why on earth are you ironing a fitted sheet?
Because I’m a bit ACDC.
I think you mean OCD.
Whatever, just come and help fold this sheet.

The windows are all open this morning and the cool, fresh air is wonderful.  It’s raining quite steadily and the garden is just slurping up the moisture.  If we shut the windows the house immediately warms up again. The stone walls have been absorbing heat for weeks and they act like a radiator.

We didn’t get any thunder or lightning last night but the wind roared through, shaking the remainder of the hazel nuts to the ground.  Philippe’s vineyard scarecrows are looking very lopsided today.

A pause in the rain, let's go for a wander around the garden...

    1. It wasn't much but it's revived the garden.

  2. Pathetic wasn't it, yet 28,000 homes were without power elsewhere in the dep't. My Meteo now says no more rain for the next 10 days. I'm beginning to worry about this year's Cepe harvest.

    1. How did we miss that? I don't think I'll be seeing any cepes this year.

  3. We had one night of rain a few days ago and I noticed fungi everywhere the next morning, not sure what they are but mushrooms and black things coming out of old trees and on the ground so I suppose one night of it would do for you lot too.

    1. One night of rain can make a huge difference. The grass has already started to green up again.
