Baking, cleaning, table tennis table dragged out from its cover
and all traces of owl poop removed. Tyres on the spare bikes pumped
up. Grass cut. What could be occurring? Visitors!
Tomorrow Paul and I are driving to Toulouse airport to greet
two very special guests, my youngest daughter Kat and her partner Tom. They are arriving midday so I am going to put
a hamper together and hopefully we can find a cool, shady spot for a picnic on
the way back home. We will have quiche,
charcuterie, cheese, baguette, melon and nectarines accompanied by a chilled
bottle of Prosecco.
Blogging might be a bit spasmodic over the next few days!

I hope that you all have a wonderful time together with lots of laughter.
ReplyDeleteLaughter is almost guaranteed with Kat, especially if she starts singing.
DeleteA picnic is a lovely welcome.
ReplyDeleteThey are arriving just too late for a restaurant lunch so a picnic seemed like a good idea.
DeleteFood sounds delicious, bedroom looks inviting - enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThank you Pat.
DeleteIs that one of Kat's old bears peaking over the foot of the bed? Picnic and a great welcome. Have a lovely time together (- don't worry about us).
ReplyDeleteHe is the bear that survived the teddy bear cull when we moved out here!
DeleteWill blogging be "spasmodic" because of over-consumption of Prosecco? Have a lovely time with your baby daughter and her beau.
ReplyDeleteThat could well be the reason, along with a healthy dose of red wine.
