misty morning |
This morning we did a 13 km
rehabilitation ride. Since we acquired a
dog back in June our cycling hours have been vastly reduced and my fitness levels have
suffered. In August I injured my knee so
today was a test to see how I would cope being back in the saddle.
We left Rick at home, he was not happy and gave us a pathetic "don't leave me behind" look.
Freewheeling down the hill in the
crisp, chill air of early morning, squinting because the sun was so low, was a
joy. The lanes are littered with fallen
chestnuts so it was quite difficult trying to avoid the prickly little balls. My knee did quite well but ached and creaked
a bit on the climbs.
This farm dog gave us a noisy greeting as we cycled by |
Is Rick in or out?
ReplyDeleteRick stayed at home indoors. (The photo is of a farm dog that we cycled past.)
DeleteI can appreciate how pleasant it must have been to get back on your bike Sue. My knee stopped me from walking freely for many weeks.
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to get out again but I'm not ready for the Tour de France yet.
DeleteSome lovely weather on the way, perfect for cycling.
ReplyDeleteIt was a beautiful day yesterday.
DeleteLovely photo of the misty morning. I'm glad your knee is doing much better Sue.
ReplyDeleteGreetings Maria x
Thanks Maria. I love to see the early morning mist below us in the valley.
DeleteGood for you! Glad you are getting back to it! I need to start exercising again; I think I'm finally up to it without causing a setback. :)
