Today is our wedding anniversary.We
are celebrating in the same understated way that we got married thirty three years
ago (registry office and two witnesses).I bought smoked salmon and blinis for lunch.We ended up having scrambled eggs with the
salmon so the blinis were superfluous.I
don’t like waste so I put a blob of crème fraiche on them, a dab of jam and
voila – dessert.
Tonight Paul is cooking duck, he has already opened a bottle of Stanton
Black to accompany dinner.The wine is
organic so less likely to give me a hangover; I’ll find out tomorrow.
