It feels like a very lazy day today. Beautiful sunshine and too hot to do anything energetic. Paul has hurt his back so I’m on dog walking duty. Apart from strimming the rockery and preparing some meals I have been sipping cold wine in the shade and reading my Kindle. I picked a book at random, it’s a mystery murder set in the cold and misty Shetlands, rather at odds with my present surroundings.
My view from the terrace should be idyllic but I am gazing out at a line of onions Paul has put out to dry along the top of the wall. They have a certain beauty of their own.
Onions look good, we've not had any luck growing them here, too wet. Hope his back is better soon.
ReplyDeleteWe've had a good crop this year, red and white.
DeleteBad backs are hell. Hope it is soon better Paul.
ReplyDeleteHe's a bit better today, worse at night when he's in bed.
DeletePlease share the title and author of your book - sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteRed Bones by Anne Cleeves, third book of a trilogy set in the Shetlands.
DeleteOh dear. I am sorry to hear that Paul has a bad back. I hope it feels more comfortable very soon. Perhaps you could go on You Tube to find gentle exercises that might help.
ReplyDeleteI recommend gentle housework.
DeleteI try to eat onions in everything, love them.
ReplyDeleteFood would be boring without them.
DeleteI'd better pull mine up today. Nature's panacea.
ReplyDeleteIs that raw, cooked or do you have to rub them on the affected area?
DeleteIt was probably pulling the onions that caused the bad back!
DeleteThe best cure for bad backs are to carry on as normal.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely best to keep moving, but probably not dog walking with a boisterous beast.
DeleteI'm trying to. I still managed to eat loads and sample various types of alcohol.
DeleteCan't have you thinking you can just put your feet up.
