both boys jumping nicely |
“Have you got six plastic flower pots stashed away in the barn?” I asked.
“Yes, why? Are you planting
something?”
“And three long bean sticks?”
“What are you up to?”
“Agility training for Rick!”
It took him a while to work out
that we wanted him to jump over the sticks rather than run around them but he
got the idea in the end. We had lots of
fun and I think Rick enjoyed himself too.
I’ve just got to figure out how to make a see-saw for him now.
"Jumpies!" said Barbara Woodhouse.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what I was saying to Rick, were you hiding behind the wall?
DeleteWhat fun! I can't wait to see the teeter-totter.
ReplyDeleteWatch this space!
DeleteCan't you get him an ipad?
ReplyDeleteWho, Paul?
DeleteWhat did you do before Rick?
ReplyDeleteWent for long bicycle rides.
DeleteIt looks like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteGreetings Maria x
It was fun but I think I'm getting too old for this running about lark.
DeleteI noticed that both Paul and Rick were jumping. So do I take it that you don't jump anymore :-) ?
ReplyDeleteOnly when someone takes me by surprise.
DeleteI think we can say with certainty that Rick has landed on his feet with you two - lucky dog.
ReplyDeleteLanded on his paws!
DeleteRick is a handsome guy. What is his breed? He looks a lot like my sister's dog. :) Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteHe is a Labrit - a Pyreneen Mountain Sheep Dog.
DeleteHe's obviously a quick learner; teach him to do the washing-up.
ReplyDeleteI don't need to, he bought me a dishwasher years ago.
DeleteAnd a plastic tunnel for him to go through!!!
ReplyDeleteOnly if you show him how to do it!
DeleteThere appears to be some confusion for whom the jumps are designed. Providing his back is now officially better you could get a higher hurdle for Rick to jump and Paul (and you) to run alongside. I am suprised that Weaver of Grass did not reccommend the verticle posts for The Weave!
ReplyDeletePaul's back was better until he slipped on the wet grass this morning while agility training...
DeleteWhat fun ! I'm sure there are some old flower pots somewhere and a few canes. Just need to persuade Inca what to do, without having to actually demonstrate...!
ReplyDeleteRick is jumping the sticks now by himself. Paul has stuck some tomato poles in the ground but he is not too keen on weaving yet. It's taking lots of treats.
