lunch time fizzy water, I loved the colours when I looked through my glass |
Morning
“Shall
we have a beer?”
“No,
it’s only half eleven in the morning.”
Midday
“Would you like another glass of wine?”
“No,
it gives me a headache at lunchtime.”
"I'd like one."
"Have some fizzy water instead."
“The
girls will want Margaritas when they are here.”
“Pizza?”
“No,
the alcoholic version.”
Help! I need a drinking partner to lead me astray.
I do believe it's time for cocktails, see you on the terrace.
ReplyDeleteIs that the time already? Martini please with plenty of ice.
DeleteTwo great pictures to accompany this post.
ReplyDeletePaul sounds like a bit of a killjoy - discouraging you from getting as pissed as a nun in a distillery in the middle of the day. Or maybe he just knows what you are like.
He knows what I'm like. Hic!
DeleteI am never tempted to drink at lunchtime, but then I don't particularly like the taste.
ReplyDeleteI prefer lunchtime drinking (just a single glass of wine usually) to evening drinking. When it's really hot out here I like a cold bottle of lager.
DeleteI am not drinking at all now. I love the colours in the glass at the top. I had just been thinking of lime green being electric as a colour after seeing Frances' knitting on Instagram and then saw your glass reflections. Magic.
ReplyDeleteAmazing colours through a clear glass.
DeleteCan I come over and keep you company :-) ?
ReplyDeleteThe more the merrier!
Delete5 pm is when I have my first tipple of the day, it's also the time when I first manage to actually relax. I think I should set the alarm for 4.55 pm.
ReplyDeleteWell I'm surprised, I felt sure you would have a small glass of red with your lunch.
DeleteNever; it sends me to sleep.
DeleteLove the photos - a lovely effect with the bubbles.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a drinker, so since husband passed away there is still one unopened bottle of red in the wine rack. It may well stay there until it passes into either undrinkable or vintage - more likely the former as it's supermarket plonk !
So sorry to hear about your husband Coppa's girl.
DeleteThank you, Sue. It was no surprise - he was a very heavy smoker and the big C "got" him.
DeleteWe have just had a Gin & Tonic. Hot and stormy enough to require it so late and to use ice from a new ice tray that makes dog paw shapes. Any excuse!
ReplyDeletePaw shape ice cubes, oh wow!
