We are gradually making some progress. We have created a list of tasks in order of importance. The garden is low down on that list but when we need a break from indoor stuff we go outside and pull a few more weeds. The wind is blowing today but it’s warm and sunny, so we have spent the morning tackling the weeds growing through the cracks on the patio. Paul is reluctant to put down weed killer in case Rick eats it!

It all looks so exciting. You have all winter to tackle the garden. Pity Rick can't wield a hoe!
ReplyDeleteRick's good at picking up apples.
DeletePaul should be careful working on his knees like that. If he is not careful he will suffer from knee trouble. My advice is to use thick foam kneeling mats. By the way - there are weedkillers that after an hour or so will have absorbed all the active poisons and will then be harmless to pets. Finally - has Paul got a power washer? Power washing would bring up those paving stones nicely.
ReplyDeleteThe kneeling seat should arrive tomorrow. Paul says it will be ideal for me to weed the patio! Power washer is on the shopping list.
DeleteAre you always in a hurry with things? I feel exhausted just reading this. I need to lay down.
ReplyDeleteI blame Paul. He won't keep still. I feel like I could sleep for a week. Bathroom man coming tomorrow.
DeleteWhat's that green stuff on the ground. I remember seeing it here once, but can't remember its name!
ReplyDeleteEven we have brown patches here on the lawn due to the hot summer.
DeleteI like the lovely old stone bird bath. I was thinking the same as Rachel...... !
ReplyDeleteI'm always impatient to get things sorted.
DeleteYou two have such energy. You've accomplished so much in such a short time! -Jenn
ReplyDeleteI don't feel very energetic right now!
