Summertime is here at last and, as the song goes, the living is easy.
Blue skies and sunshine, lazy lunches on the
terrace, butterflies and humming moths, farmers making hay in the fields.
I love days like this, but...

... on Tuesday we will temporarily be leaving all this behind and
heading back to the UK.
We need to pack
up the flat and put our furniture into storage and on the way back to Wiltshire
we have planned a detour up the east coast to Lincolnshire.
We will spend three days exploring the
countryside and viewing some properties.
The house in the Forest of Dean is no longer an option for us so the
hunt for our perfect English home is still on.
It’s going to be a hectic few weeks so my posts here will be a bit random.

It will be home from home, we are having a heatwave here next week. 30C
ReplyDeleteI shall miss the garden though.
Deletebest of luck on your search!
ReplyDeleteThanks, you might get there before me!
DeleteGood luck with your house hunt.
ReplyDeleteI think we need a whole bucketful of luck with our quest.
DeleteBest Wishes. More adventures to come for you all to find your new home and garden.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I just hope they are good adventures!
DeleteJust read that the late Peter Mayle has a new book out "My 25 Years in Provence". Can't wait to read it and I'm sure you can relate to all his adventures.
ReplyDeleteI still have his original book, we were very influenced by his writing.
DeleteSo, what happens to all Paul's vegs? Not a good time to be away, just when everything's ripening. Have fun... house hunting can be tedious, but it can also be very interesting.
ReplyDeleteWe've asked some neighbours to come and help themselves to the veg and we're hoping they might splosh some water on the garden at the same time. Not the best time to be leaving it.
DeleteGood luck - I, too, hope you find the perfect house. Just make sure that Rick approves of your choice !
ReplyDeleteI have seen so many perfect houses on the internet but the garden wasn't right for Rick!
DeleteI wish you find your dream home quickly Sue. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteGreetings Maria x
