Just to make the blogosphere even more dog-heavy here is a picture of Rick with his doggy diploma and rosette. Paul was chuffed to pieces with his rosette, Rick couldn't understand what all the fuss was about.
Years ago I had a Dalmation dog that was a treasure in Class but something of a tinker when back home. He was always used as the 'demonstration dog' in being taught his manners. Nowadays we just work around Ted and his little ways.
I think Rick will always do exactly as he wants once he is outside the classroom. I doubt he will ever get over his desire to eat bicycles and small children on scooters.
Of course he's way too cool to show how proud he is. Though he does wonder about the fuss, he knew what he was doing all along.
ReplyDeleteHe did wonderfully well but was a complete horror when I took him out this afternoon!
DeleteRick blends in nicely with your furniture too! A cute photo!
ReplyDeleteGreetings Maria x
Good to see you back Maria x
DeleteI was told by a dog trainer that it was the handler who had to be trained more than the dog .
ReplyDeleteSo well done Paul and hearty congratulations !
I'm proud of both my boys.
DeletePaul got a rosette too? Give that fellow a bone!
ReplyDeleteThey will have to fight over the rosette.
DeleteWell done Rick - and Paul too - they both deserve a treat !
ReplyDeleteI gave Paul a biscuit.
DeleteI saw a dog on TV yesterday that was his doppleganger. I shouted "Look, there's Rick". Is he a specific breed? Well done that pair!
ReplyDeleteHe's a Labrit (Pyreneean sheep dog). Don't see many of them in Wiltshire.
DeleteIn that he was a complete horror yesterday, the award obviously went to his head. Was his master also a complete horror?
ReplyDeleteHis master is always a complete horror!
