Exquisite Taste

This afternoon I went into Lincoln for my second thyroid biopsy. It wasn't particularly pleasant so afterwards I dragged Paul to the shops.  I'm not particularly into Christmas decorations but I wanted something special for our new home.  An exquisite crystal bauble or a handmade tree ornament perhaps.  This is what I bought...

Before you scoff I would add that he has extendable legs.  I'm not sure why.

  1. I hope Rick isn't going to be jealous.

    1. I won't hang him up - just plonk him on top of the tree perhaps!

  4. Hmm - it seems to me that Lincolnshire is rubbing off on you already - not a lot of French chic there, although he is rather sweet. I wonder what Master Rick thinks to him.

  5. The legs extend so that you don't have to bend down too far to kiss him good night!

  7. If you stuck antlers on Rick's head he would look just the same.

    1. I might buy him some sunglasses and shorts so I can have him out all year.

    1. Thank you. I think it will be okay but it would be nice to know for sure.

  11. I really shouldn't laugh but it was the intro that got me, I guess I should tell you about my 7 foot tall, black & white, wooden, Christmas Giraffe. He stands in the corner of my living room with a candy cane hanging from one antler. I loved the stupid thing the moment I saw it standing with it's family of smaller giraffes . . . . but I had to take the tallest one home.
