Mirror Mirror on the Wall

a contemporary design, not exactly what I was looking for

Today we went shopping in search of a  mirror for my infamous hall.  I was looking for something classic and big, rectangular shape with bevelled edges; I ended up buying something completely different.

I was very tempted by this one but I was worried that my hall might take on the look of an Indian Restaurant

 What did I buy...

I chose the contemporary one.  I love the end result.  Paul likes it too. And that's all that matters.

  8. Looks a bit art deco. The house is gradually coming together. At least you both agree. Tony and I rarely agree on furnishing.

  9. I would have gone for one of those wavy fairground mirrors, that give you a tiny head and huge bottom. Much more fun.

    1. I don't need a novelty mirror to look like that!

  11. We all agree, then, that you chose wisely. (The other IMHO would have been too heavy)

    1. I did like the other one, it was the right size, but too ornate.

  12. The mirror that you set out to buy sounds just like the one over our sideboard! ( John Lewis I think) I love the one you bought..most unusual .

    1. We said that if it didn't work out we would get the one from John Lewis!

  13. I love it. Not what I would have thought of choosing (being a bit traditional in my tastes) but it is perfect in your hallway. A statement and unique.

    1. I was worried it would look a bit lost but I think it works okay.
