Please Speak Quietly
Please speak quietly. I am feeling
somewhat fragile this morning. Yesterday
I drank far too much wine. We opened the
case of Foxground 2013 that we bought last weekend from the Crooked Valley
Winery. This red Cabernet Shiraz is one
of my most favourite wines in the world. I just couldn’t resist that extra
glass (or two) last night.
This morning I am paying the price. (Tonight
Sarah and Andy are hosting a Mexican theme dinner party; is there somewhere I
can hide?).
What a foxy lable. It looks, to me, that it's a bit accusitive of the wine being drunk - as in all gone.
ReplyDeletePoor thing. I hate a hangover. Drink lots of water and sleep...that's my advice.
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I really like about buying wine from either St Martin le Redon or the Ch de Calassou, is that neither contain any headache inducing chemicals. I can't remember the last time I had a hangover.
ReplyDeleteI wish you are fine by this evening Sue, so you may enjoy the party.

Oh, that's nice - a Mexican theme dinner party. Does that mean they'll be bringing their maracas and bongo drums along to entertain you ? Best take Jennifer's advice, I think.
ReplyDeleteSomewhere you can hide? No! Get yourself a big sombrero and cut a hole in the middle of one of Sarah's favourite blankets to make your poncho. A droopy black moustache can be simply drawn on your mush with a permanent black marker pen.
ReplyDeleteBy the time you read this, I'm sure your hangover will have passed. My favourite wine these days is Cabernet Sauvignon. I think I would buy the wine your were drinking simply for the pretty label! I'm always attracted to the labels first. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteHas your hangover passed? If not just tell people you're a fan of Hull. When they hear this, people will automatically feel sorry for you.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments. No hangover this morning but just feeling so, so tired. The 'Mexican' party didn't end until the early hours.
