“Where’s the cruise catalogue?”
“In the bin, why?”
“I need it for my blog, can you
retrieve it?”
“No, I tore it into pieces...”
This morning two catalogues plopped
through our letter box. One was a
Suttons Seed catalogue and the other was a Saga Cruise catalogue. Paul is currently salivating over his seed
catalogue whilst I have to be content with an overnight ferry trip across the Bay of Biscay
in March. Oh well, who needs to eat at the Captain's Table when you can pick your own beans.
Last year when I was travelling TGV to Valence to the yoga holiday a Saga rep saved me from getting off at the wrong stop. (I am embarrassed to say).
ReplyDeleteOh the shame! I don't suppose you met many Saga reps in Vladivostok.
Delete"Who needs to eat at the Captain's Table when you can pick your own beans?" sounds like the kind of question that Sophocles or Confucius might have asked!
ReplyDeleteDid they grow their own beans?
DeleteOh, were they on Gardener's Question time then?
ReplyDeleteNo, I think that was Alan Titmarsh...
DeleteSounds like a University Challenge question - Which beans did Confucius grow ? Is your mark for ten.
ReplyDeleteHa' ha! alas YP has been rumbled now....
How many beans make five?
DeleteDo they really eat at the Captain's Table on a ferry? Blimey! That's POSH.
ReplyDeleteThey do on a Saga cruise but not on Brittany ferries. That's why I have to content myself with eating beans.
