heading for the Eurotunnel train |
We have arrived in Lincolnshire, and yes, Rachel, it was a tad cold last night!
everything in the trailer arrived dry and in one piece |
I am currently sitting on the floor waiting for the removal men to arrive. It all seems a bit daunting right now and I'm slightly overwhelmed by the work we have ahead of us to get this place shipshape. To be honest I am very overwhelmed.

Hooray, glad you arrived safely. Hope you don't have to wait too long for the removers and hope you have found the heating switch . At least you've got a phone signal, or something, to be posting. xx
ReplyDeleteGlad you arrived safely. Don't be in a hurry to put it all together, it will get done.
ReplyDeleteSlowly slowly, you’ll get there. My advice would be to sort your bedroom first, make a little haven where you can rest.
ReplyDeleteJust tell yourselves you have the rest of your lives to tame everything and get it how you want it. You sound a bit like me - I wanted everything done yesterday when I moved in here a year ago. It still isn't done but I have got things more in proportion now. Happy settling in.
ReplyDeleteYou'll do it, we moved to Suffolk 16 months ago and yes we still have a bedroom to unpack, boxes still in there, but the garden looks good! And today we've walked along a sandy beach with only a couple of other people and their dog there as well. Beautiful sunshiny day and sea air, bliss!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to your new home. I look forward to seeing you transform it to the home of your dreams. As others have said - it doesn't have to be done all at once.
ReplyDeleteBe patient. Step by step it will become a lovely home.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your kind and wise words, I feel a bit more positive this morning. The removals arrived on time yesterday afternoon so today the unpacking starts.
ReplyDeleteFirst things first, get a good dog walk sorted.
ReplyDeleteI am excited for you, but then I don't have to do the unpacking !....lots of new dog walks to explore and people to meet. Sort out a bedroom and the kitchen and the rest will follow. What do I know though...not moved for 40 years!! Photos please...before and after......if you have the time ! x
ReplyDeleteHello Sue, God bless you and help you in everything you do. Thanks for sharing with me, I have returned after a year of hard work. After the hurricane ... a lot of love...Vanessa
