I was rather fond of my tatty
old pine dresser with the jumble of blue and yellow crockery and other stuff
accumulated over the years. But after
seventeen years it was time for a change and I have to say I’m delighted with
the result. Paul is far better at wielding
a paintbrush than me so I was very happy to delegate this project!
I helped by getting more goodies from the garden |
Very nice! It will add a great punch of colour to the room! (envious of those fruits from your garden) -Jenn
ReplyDeleteI'm surrounded by redness at the moment!
DeleteVery good, beautifully staged with 'new' china. Do you let Paul 'out' for work locally?????
ReplyDeleteI never let him out on his own.
DeleteWell done to Paul! Surely he deserves more rations this weekend and more exercise time in the yard.
ReplyDeleteI gave him extra wine at lunch time.
DeleteIt sure steals the scene now; nice job!
ReplyDeleteIt's very different to what it was.
DeleteWhat colour is that? Bordeaux or Cahors?
ReplyDeleteCahors too dark so probably Bordeaux.
DeleteReally turned out well and even matches the berries.
ReplyDeleteI'm very pleased.
DeleteIt is beautiful,Annie Sloan chalk paint is realy great, we don't have it here. I always wonder how you put the plates in that way and they don't moove.
ReplyDeleteThere is a groove in the shelf for the plates to sit in.
DeleteOK, thank you:) i always wanted to know because it is so "european" and i don't see it here.
ReplyDeleteNow the rest of the room needs some colour.
ReplyDeleteIt's looks pretty good against the stone walls, the photo makes the stone look paler than it actually is. The red is also picked up in the pattern on the curtains on the opposite wall. I know what you mean though.
DeleteFabulous colour. I love it. I noticed the colour matching raspberries too.
ReplyDeleteIt's quite daring for me.
DeleteLovely - and I love the colour - makes it look like a new piece of furniture. Well done both of you - are you going into business? You'd do well !
ReplyDeleteLove the dresser - brilliant colour.
ReplyDeleteWow, the dresser looks fab but my favorite colors are in that box of fruit!
