Do you remember when we put this fence up earlier in the year to hide Paul's compost...
... and now
next year the climbing rose and honeysuckle should cover the archway |
Elsewhere in the garden:-
Hebe flowering beneath the Tamarisk tree |
Agapanthus just coming into bloom - I love the colour |
Phlox |
Honeysuckle |
Jasmine |
bedding dahlias add a splash of colour in the border |
grass is nice and green after the recent rainfall |
It is all looking lovely, including Rick, of course.
ReplyDeleteHe keeps a close eye on everything that goes on in his garden.
DeleteThe agapanthus reminds me of a peacock's tail feathers.
ReplyDeleteNow you come to mention it, yes it does!
DeleteDELIGHTFUL GARDEN
ReplyDeleteThank you Pat.
DeleteEverything looks beautiful!! What a serene place you have. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteNot so serene when Rick is barking at the pigeons.
DeleteThat's quite a big garden. You and Paul have done wonders with it!
ReplyDeleteOnly about a third of an acre but plenty big enough for us.
DeleteIt looks quite big - very nice. Is the solar panel in the garden for some lights somewhere?
ReplyDeleteYes, we have some ferns, cordylines and hostas that we light up on the patio.
DeleteYou've created a beautiful garden. Everything looks wonderful. Love the foxglove!
ReplyDeleteThe foxgloves have popped up all over the garden this year.
DeleteIt's usually about now that mowing drops from once a week to once every two weeks; but not this year. Grass is growing like crazy, and I have too much of it.
ReplyDeleteBut you do have a ride-on mower, Paul has to walk behind ours here.
DeleteLovely Sue, the perfect English garden. I hope Rick appreciates all the hard work you've put into it!
ReplyDeleteI have the yellow honeysuckle, brought from our garden in the UK. I've taken cuttings several times and it flowers at least twice a year and is still growing like crazy.
Honeysuckle is a favourite of mine but it does need taming. The jasmine has gone a bit wild this year too and will need cutting back in the autumn.
