Congratulations, daughter of mine, on officially becoming an Australian citizen today. It’s been a tough journey for you but I’m very proud of what you have accomplished since you left the UK with your big, bright dream. I wish you lived just around the corner instead of the other side of the world. But my love for you knows no distance.
Be happy and enjoy your wonderful life.
Lovely to hear of a young person fulfilling a dream - so add my congratulations too,
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat.
DeleteMy partner's daughter did the same thing three years ago, met a new girlfriend, got engaged to her and became a NZ citizen and is living a wonderful life. NZ looks a great place for young people, so well done your daughter.
ReplyDeleteSarah loves her life in Oz, she moved out there in 2008 when she was 23.
DeleteWait, that would make her 35?? She still looks like she is 23!! Jealous!!
DeleteWhy thank you very much 😊
DeleteWell done on fulfilling her dream and continued success!! (Good job, Mom!) -Jenn
ReplyDeleteWe just want our kids to be happy don't we!
DeleteSo pleased to hear she got what she wanted. Australia is nearly as nice as New Zealand !!!
ReplyDeleteNew Zealand looks fabulous to me from what I've seen from photos and film.
DeleteAnd we Aussies welcome her!

ReplyDeleteMy daughter is a pukka Aussie, and my youngest son has some sort of full time residency permit (not sure what exactly). I also have four grandsons who were born there. It's a great place to live; well done Sarah.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of opportunities for young people out there.
DeleteGood to see that lovely bursting with happiness look on Sarah's face. I love the outfit with all the red and her hair. XX
ReplyDeleteThank you! 😊
DeleteDid you see Miriam Margolyes last night on TV? Called something about the Australian dream. She was given her citizenship and travelled about meeting some very interesting people. Worth a watch. Congrats to Sarah .
ReplyDeleteWe've recorded the programme as it looked interesting.
DeleteYour kangaroo painting is appropriately in the background
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see him there.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations Sarah - enjoy your life! You've definitely done the right thing!
ReplyDeleteI watched Miriam Margolyes TV programme last night. Surprised that she too, has become an Australian citizen - mainly because her partner is. It will be an interesting programme, as she's going to find out how many people feel they are living the Australian dream. It's a warts and all programme and last night's was a real eye-opener at times.
I shall look forward to watching this. It becomes very hard to move out there once you pass a certain age, unless you have lots of money of course.
DeleteHow lucky she is. It's a wonderful thing to go with your dreams and make them come true.
ReplyDeleteIt was a long and winding road for her but she got there in the end.
