Monday
Art class this morning. Plastic sunflowers. I shall be glad when we break up for the summer although I will miss the chocolate biscuits.
I took Rick for his afternoon walk, the scent of elderflower filled the lanes. I put his blanket, towel and toy bunny in the washing machine when we got back. Rick has chewed most of Mr Bunny’s ears but there was just enough left for me to peg him out to dry.
Paul planted out his climbing French beans yesterday. This evening he’s discovered that most of the leaves have dropped off. It’s been very windy today, or it could be the pigeons.

How would you like to be hung up by your ears on a washing line? Poor Bunny!
ReplyDeleteActually it really pinches your ears.
DeleteI found a Hare eyeing-up Haddock's yesterday. Luckily it's fenced with Hare-proof wire netting, otherwise I might be looking at a bare patch.
ReplyDeleteWe used to have a wire fence sunk right into the ground in France to keep the rabbits out.
DeletePlastic sunflowers in June at art class is something near to sacrilege. Real flowers or even painting outside on location should be the order of the day.
ReplyDeleteTerrible isn't it? I'm not going back after summer.
DeleteWe find that the pheasants peck off the new leaves and buds from our crops. A chicken wire fence sometimes keeps them out, but not always 🙄
ReplyDeletePaul thinks it was the strong wind that blew the young leaves straight off the plant.
DeletePoor old pigeons they do get blamed for a lot (probably was them though).
ReplyDeleteRick said he saw them do it...
DeleteI"m fighting mourning doves. Who knew the sweet-sounding little devils could be so cantankerous. LOL
ReplyDeleteHaha, surely not!
