First day in Oz and I successfully managed to stay awake all day. Sarah cooked enchiladas for supper with enough chilli to blast the socks off me. I went to bed at 10.00 p.m. Four hours later I was wide awake. Crazy jetlag.
This morning Buddy took me to his favourite beach - Sirius Cove. This place is doggy heaven, the ultimate canine playground. Super sleek designer dogs streaking along the beach. What Buddy lacks in pedigree (he is a rescue dog with a wonky leg) he makes up for in charm and cuteness. Who could resist those big, brown eyes? Rachel could.
Lunch at the sushi train. I love watching those sushi delights trundling past me, except by the time I've made up my mind which dish to choose it has gone right past me and I have to wait ten minutes before it comes round again. At least I knew how to eat the edamame beans this time, the outer skins can be very chewy.
This evening we are going out to an Indian restaurant. Hope they go easy on the chilli.
Well I like dogs and Buddy is a cutie. That first picture is wonderful and makes me want to slip off my shoes and have a paddle. I have never eaten sushi, raw fish doesn't appeal and I think I would only eat it if I was a castaway and hadn't learned how to make a fire :)
ReplyDeleteThere's a huge selection so it's not all raw fish. The only raw fish I eat is smoked salmon.
DeleteI was going to say that I too have never eaten sushi and then I stopped and thought of my three a week meals of Salmon which have been marinated. So yes, I do indeed enjoy such a dish. It is the word raw which puts people off and then we seem not accept that fish that is smoked has the appearance of being raw.
ReplyDeleteBuddy certainly looks to be a ball of fun.
Sushi doesn't actually mean raw fish. It's a way of preparing rice served with a variety of toppings which may include raw fish.
DeleteWe eat a lot of sushi here but i never saw a train of sushi...
ReplyDeleteBuddy looks like my daughter's dog, sweet.
The 'train' is great fun. You just help yourself to any dish that tempts you.
DeleteBuddy looks really nice, but I can see that he's a tad embarrassed by that red bib thing; couldn't it be discretely lost whilst walking on the beach?
ReplyDeleteLove Sushi, love Indian.... bute tucker.
Buddy's red bib thing is not for show, it's his harness for his lead. I took him for a walk last night and he nearly pulled me over when he tried to chase a cat. He's a strong little fella.
DeleteBuddy is darling! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteHe's a real character, I'm enjoying getting to know him.
