Another Boring Blog

snowdrops and aconites by the babbling brook

Rachel has been talking about boring days and boring blogs.  Here’s another one!

Sometimes I like ‘empty’ days.  Days when I have nothing planned.  I luxuriated in a hot bubble bath after breakfast (the replacement plug works perfectly).  I tidied up, mopped the floor and chased Rick around the house.  I looked at some curtain fabrics on line and sent away for some samples.

This afternoon we have blue skies and sunshine so I took Rick for a walk around the village.  It is incredibly hard taking photos with a frisky dog at the end of a lead!

I have no excuse.  I’m just being lazy today.

  1. It was about 8 hours ago. And it was a bit of journalistic rubbish.

    1. I quite enjoy the mundane, I don't need any more excitement in my life.

  3. Are they snowdrops in the first photo. Definitely not boring.

    1. A whole swathe of snowdrops. My camera didn't really capture the beauty of it.

  4. I love that ancient window. I do have days when mopping the kitchen floor is my biggest accomplishment. At least you are clean, got some exercise, and took some great photos!

  5. That little window is beautiful, I wonder where the missing bit is. Maybe you should dig the soil beneath it; it may be still there.

    1. It's too close to the graveyard to start digging!

  6. Sounds like a good day to me! Too much excitement can be wearing.

    1. Suits me fine, just makes for a dull blog.

  7. O poor you how terrible, unfortunately that's what life is for most people... it is just that you are used to being stimulated !

  8. Without dull, uneventful days how could we possibly appreciate the memorable, happy days when things happen and all is well with the world?

  9. I didn't used to like lazy days but I find I like them (and my own company) more and more - perhaps this is a good thing as it means I don't get lonely.

    1. I'm very adept at being busy doing nothing. My deafness makes socialising very tiring.

  10. None of it! A pleasant read!
