snowdrops and aconites by the babbling brook |
Rachel has been talking about boring days and boring blogs. Here’s another one!
Sometimes I like ‘empty’ days. Days when I have nothing planned. I luxuriated in a hot bubble bath after breakfast (the replacement plug works perfectly). I tidied up, mopped the floor and chased Rick around the house. I looked at some curtain fabrics on line and sent away for some samples.
This afternoon we have blue skies and sunshine so I took Rick for a walk around the village. It is incredibly hard taking photos with a frisky dog at the end of a lead!
I have no excuse. I’m just being lazy today.

It was about 8 hours ago. And it was a bit of journalistic rubbish.
ReplyDeleteNot rubbish, thought provoking.
DeleteNot boring, just life.
ReplyDeleteI quite enjoy the mundane, I don't need any more excitement in my life.
DeleteAre they snowdrops in the first photo. Definitely not boring.
ReplyDeleteA whole swathe of snowdrops. My camera didn't really capture the beauty of it.
DeleteI love that ancient window. I do have days when mopping the kitchen floor is my biggest accomplishment. At least you are clean, got some exercise, and took some great photos!
ReplyDeleteHaha, that's true.
DeleteThat little window is beautiful, I wonder where the missing bit is. Maybe you should dig the soil beneath it; it may be still there.
ReplyDeleteIt's too close to the graveyard to start digging!
DeleteSounds like a good day to me! Too much excitement can be wearing.
ReplyDeleteSuits me fine, just makes for a dull blog.
DeleteO poor you how terrible, unfortunately that's what life is for most people... it is just that you are used to being stimulated !
ReplyDeleteNot at all, I like a quiet life.
DeleteWithout dull, uneventful days how could we possibly appreciate the memorable, happy days when things happen and all is well with the world?
ReplyDeleteThis is very true.
DeleteI didn't used to like lazy days but I find I like them (and my own company) more and more - perhaps this is a good thing as it means I don't get lonely.
ReplyDeleteI'm very adept at being busy doing nothing. My deafness makes socialising very tiring.
DeleteNone of it! A pleasant read!
ReplyDeleteOh thank you DL.
