Escape

The tree men arrived early this morning and started to cut down the jungle in next door’s garden.  The constant whine of a chain saw and crashing branches was not at all pleasing so we headed down the hill with picnic blanket, chilled coffee and kindles.  We found the perfect spot away from the hustle and bustle.  Nice view too!

    1. It's the sort of place you can sit for ages and just look.

    1. It's a beautiful spot; I didn't get much reading done because I love watching the boats and ferries.

  3. That's a super picture Sue. With the opera house and the summer sky and you in your cowboy hat with your trusty dawg. So peaceful. Gold star to Paul for taking it. A slight adjustment to the left would straighten the photograph. You might consider putting it on a photo canvas when you get home or in a photo book - "The Land of Oz".

  4. That's quite a view; I'm a little surprised it hasn't been built on.

    1. It's the Cremorne Reserve and one of the few Sydney Harbour peninsulas with a protected public park running around its edges.

  5. That's about as close that I would ever want to get to bustling city :-)

  7. I hope Buddy doesn't spot a jogger seeing as you have his lead round your leg - you'll be dragged down that hill as sure as eggs is eggs :)

    1. Iced coffee and cookies. Paul read. I watched the boats. Buddy didn't say much.

  10. Lovely spot and lovely view. Sydney is a busy place isn't it? Never been to Cremorne.
