Sussex by the Sea

A brief visit to the Sussex coast - I had forgotten how pebbly the beach is here at Goring-on-Sea.  We are pampering ourselves at a spa hotel at Little Horsted.  Our room is amazing, it's bigger than the flat.  Snow is forecast tomorrow, I wonder if we could get snowed in here.

    1. I love wild weather when I'm at home but not when travelling.

  2. I know Boring Goring well. More bungalows per square mile than anywhere else on earth. The beach is nice though; always deserted.

    1. You're right, so many bungalows! But it was a good place to park up for a picnic and a bracing walk along the beach. No-one about except for a couple of dog walkers, a guy with a metal detector and a few dozen seagulls.

That Spa sounds the perfect place to be snowed in.

    1. Just a bit! Like many of the beaches along this stretch of the Sussex coast it is made up of shingle and pebbles held in place by a series of wooden groynes. You don't see any sand until the tide goes out.
