This is not a travelogue, is it?

I shall try and desist from posting a travelogue today although it is difficult with so many wonderful sights.  Just a couple of shots of the local wildlife.  Very common in this neck of the woods.

I tried to be cool this afternoon and drink from a public water fountain (bubbler), got it completely wrong and drenched my face and soaked Buddy in the process.  He was not impressed.  He thinks I'm a bit common too.

  1. Nice Lizard. Couldn't you bring a male and female back with you; they look much more fun than our local ones.

    1. Just occasionally we see those really big, vivid green lizards back home in France. They tend to be very shy though and like to hide among the plants.

  2. Not fussed on lizards but love the birds. Don't you love the sound of the magpies ? So Australian !

    1. They make a much prettier sound than English/French magpies, they just screech.

  3. Two friendly looking lads. Did you stop and have a conversation with them at all ?

  5. Not that the wildlife is not interesting but could you show a 'bubbler'? How can it get both you and Buddy wet?

    1. It's just a drinking fountain but when I pushed the button the stream of water arched beautifully out and landed directly on Buddy's head. Second attempt I didn't have my mouth close enough to the jet of water and managed to soak my face. I need more practice!
