Night Noodles

Sydney's Night Noodle Market

Last night we joined our young friends at the Night Noodle Market in Sydney’s Hyde Park.  These markets are held during October with more than 40 food stalls offering the sounds and smells of an Asian hawker market.  I’m not exactly sure what we ate but it was extraordinarily tasty and the duck fries were amazing.  It reminded me of the weekly Marchés des Producteurs held in our part of France during the summer but on a much, much bigger scale and we were surrounded by skyscrapers instead of chestnut woods.

Spot the difference...

  1. They both look pretty good to me, but seeing as I'm a Lumberjack boy at heart, I'll have to stick with the Chestnut views. However, a little variety in menu would be welcomed occasionally.

    1. I know what you mean about the menu but I doubt it will ever change much. I reckon the duck french fries would be well received.

    1. Countryside chestnut views for me, I'm really not a city gal.

  3. It's a lovely tradition to eat outside en masse. One of the reasons we love life in France. The Sydney Park chairs look rather snazzy!

    1. The same but different. The chairs are probably more comfortable than the wooden benches in France.

  4. Spot the difference? The photographer in the last picture has consumed rather too much Beaujolais so that's why it's at a wonky angle. The Australian park picture is straight so therefore the photographer was uncharacteristically sober. Oh, wait a minute Sue, I've just spotted Wally!

  5. I thought that's what you said to Paul when you turned over and went to sleep "Night Noodles". The first picture reminds me of the street scenes in Blade Runner or some such film.

  6. I like both pictures and I see very little differences when food, fun and wine bring people together.

    1. It seems to be a good formula wherever you are in the world.
