Back to Blighty

We shut the house up yesterday morning and drove north to Caen to catch the overnight ferry to Portsmouth.  This is just a collection of snapshots from the journey...

Paul doing his yoga exercises. Actually he was turning the water supply off. The bags are full of polystyrene which are placed in the cavity to prevent the pipes from freezing over winter.

Busy French motorways...

Sweeties for the journey

A quick stop for a cheeseburger, fries and coffee. You can't beat McDonald's for speed and consistency.

Sailing into Portsmouth Harbour at dawn.

The Spinnaker Tower

Photo of HMS Victory taken through the misty cabin porthole - reminds me of a painting by Turner.

  1. But for the fact that we know you are off on further adventures, it reads so sadly that you are back in the UK.
I can't remember the ????? Dog position that Paul is demonstrating before those bags go on the last trip to the black sac collection point.

  4. Where did you find those Wine Gums? I'm jealous. Have a good trip to Oz. Kellogg and Wills have decided to go to Byron Bay to have the new baby (as with Boo Boo), and I quite expect Lady M will pop over too. I'll stay here and look after things for you all.
